1.
Prone to Wander Verse1 Come Thou Fount of every blessing Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy, never ceasing Call for songs of loudest praise Teach me some melodious sonnet Sung by flaming tongues above Praise the Name I’m fixed upon it Name of Thy redeeming love Verse 2 Hitherto thy love has blessed me Thou hast brought me to this place And I know Thy hand will bring me Safely home by Thy good grace Jesus sought me when a stranger Wandering from the fold of God He, to rescue me from danger Bought me with His precious blood Verse 3 O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be Let Thy goodness, like a fetter Bind my wandering heart to Thee Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it Prone to leave the God I love Here’s my heart, O take and seal it Seal it for Thy courts above Verse 4 O that day when freed from sinning I shall see Thy lovely face Clothed then in blood washed linen How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace Come, my Lord, no longer tarry Take my ransomed soul away Send Thine angels now to carry Me to realms of endless day
2.
Voices Rude 03:43
Voices Rude Verse 1 Twas I that shed the sacred blood I nailed Him to the tree I crucified the Christ of God I joined the mockery Of all that shouting multitude I feel that I am one And in that din of voices rude I recognize my own Verse 2 Around the cross the throng I see Who mocked the Savior's groan Yet still my voice it seems to be As if I mocked alone How clearly now I see my sin In His all forgiving face Who bore my insults silently While suffering in my place
3.
Over the Grave Intro Awake, my soul and sing, of Him who died for thee And hail Him as thy matchless King, through all eternity Verse 1 Crown Him the Lord of life, who triumphed o’er the grave And rose victorious to the strife, for those He came to save His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die Verse 2 Crown Him the Lord of Lords, who over all doth reign Who once on earth, the incarnate Word, for ransomed sinners slain Now lives in realms of light, where saints with angels sing Their songs before Him day and night, their God, Redeemer, King Chorus Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne Hark how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but it’s own Awake, my soul and sing, of Him who died for thee And hail Him as thy matchless King, through all eternity Verse 3 Crown Him the Lord of heaven, enthroned in worlds above Crown Him the King to whom is given, the wondrous name of Love Crown Him with many crowns, as thrones before Him fall Crown Him, ye kings with many crowns for He is King of all
4.
Sorrow and Blood Verse 1 When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died All other gain I count but loss And pour contempt on all my pride Verse 2 Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast Save in the death of Christ my God All the vain things that charm me most I sacrifice them to His blood Verse 3 See from His head, His hands, His feet Sorrow and love flow mingled down Did e’er such love and sorrow meet Or thorns compose so rich a crown Verse 4 Were the whole realm of nature mine That were an offering far too small Love so amazing love so divine Demands my soul my life my all
5.
Man of Sorrows Verse 1 Man of Sorrows what a name, for the Son of God who came Man of Sorrows what a name, ruined sinners to reclaim Hallelujah what a Savior, hallelujah what a name Verse 2 Bearing shame and scoffing rude, in my place condemned He stood Bearing shame and scoffing rude, sealed my pardon with His blood Hallelujah what a Savior, hallelujah what a Lord Verse 3 Lifted up was He to die, “It is finished” was His cry Lifted up was He to die, now in heav’n exalted high Hallelujah what a Savior, hallelujah what a life -Interlude- Verse 4 When He comes our glorious King, all His ransomed home to bring Then anew this song we’ll sing, hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujah what a Savior, hallelujah what a King Tag Hallelujah what a Savior Hallelujah what a Savior Man of sorrows what a name For the Son of God who came
6.
Dead Friend Rising Verse 1 He dies! the Friend of sinners dies Lo! Many daughters weep around A solemn darkness veils the skies A sudden trembling shakes the ground Come, saints, and drop a tear or two For Him who groaned beneath your load He shed a thousand drops for you A thousand drops of richer blood Verse 2 Here’s love and grief beyond degree The Lord of Glory dies for men But lo! what sudden joys we see Jesus, the dead, revives again The rising God forsakes the tomb The tomb in vain forbids His rise Angelic legions guard Him home And shout Him welcome to the skies Verse 3 Break off your fears, you saints, and tell How high your great Deliverer reigns Sing how He spoiled the hosts of hell And led the monster death in chains Say, live forever, wondrous King Born to redeem, and strong to save Then ask the monster, where’s your sting And, where’s your victory, boasting grave

about

This collection of hymns evolved out of a desire to share gospel truths through the blues style of music. No one experienced the "blues" like our Savior Jesus Christ did. According to Isaiah 53:3, He truly was "despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not." We hope you enjoy the music, but more importantly, we hope these truths will "set you free" to know the Savior who suffered to save you.

The background of the album cover is a photo I took with my cellphone camera one frosty morning when I discovered the awesome pattern God had designed on the hood of my black 96' Altima, and yes, that is actually a tiny leaf that was on the hood. I think I always knew it would end up as an album cover some day.
